The boom in smartphone use has fuelled a long-simmering controversy in the IT community over adopting Unicode as the standard for character encoding in Myanmar, instead of Zawgyi.
Norwegian authorities said on Tuesday they had carried out a search at the headquarters of Norwegian telecoms operator Telenor, which is suspected of complicity in crimes against humanity in Myanmar.
